Bandaar respects the rights of creators and expects its members to do the same. If something on Bandaar uses your work without permission, tell us and we will act on it.
What a notice needs
A notice of claimed infringement must include:
- The work you say was copied, described well enough for us to identify it.
- The Bandaar link to the sound or post that you say infringes (open it, copy the address from the browser).
- Your name, email address and, if you have one, postal address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your signature (typing your full name is enough).
Knowingly sending a false notice can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. 512(f).
What we do
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable the material promptly. The person who posted it is told and can send a counter-notice. Accounts that infringe repeatedly are closed: after 3 confirmed infringements an account is banned. We do not read private messages to look for infringement.
